Mohamed Abdelhady
Mohamed received his bachelor’s degree Electrical Engineering from South Valley University in Aswan, Egypt. He also received a Master’s degree in Computer and Control Engineering from Minia University, Minia, Egypt. He has worked with different company in Egypt, Aramco-Saudi Arabia 2011, and Siemens-Germany 2013. He is interested in Robotics, Calculus of Variation, Evolutionary Optimization, Nonlinear Control, and Intelligent Control Systems. He has six years of experience in industry as a systems engineer and quality control engineer. He is currently pursuing his Doctoral degree.
Ben Baldwin
Ben graduated from Western Michigan University in 1997 and began his career as a systems engineer at Parker Hannfiin. He specializes in design of aerospace hydraulic components and finite element analysis using Ansys. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cleveland State University with a focus on controls, robotics and biped walking simulation.

Donald Ebeigbe
Donald is a doctoral student pursuing his PhD in electrical engineering at Cleveland State University. He received his bachelor’s degree at The Federal University of Technology Akure, Nigeria in electrical and electronic engineering. His industry experience is in the oil and gas sector as a maintenance engineer. His previous research was on mathematical functions for human walking data and his current research focuses on model reference adaptive impedance control of transfemoral prosthesis. His research interests include advanced nonlinear adaptive control and embedded control systems.
Seyed Abolfazl Fakoorian
Seyed is pursuing his master’s degree in electrical engineering at Cleveland State University. He received his bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering from Islamic Azad University in Mashhad, Iran. His bachelor’s thesis was on artificial intelligence using type-2 fuzzy systems. He is interested in control theory, state estimation, Kalman filtering, fuzzy control, and embedded systems.

Farbod Rohani
Farbod is pursuing his doctoral degree in electrical engineering at Cleveland State University (CSU). He received his master’s degree in electrical engineering from California State University, Chico, and his bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Qazvin Azad University in Iran. His master’s degree studies focused on control systems and electromagnetic systems. He is currently working on developing energy regeneration methods for prosthetic leg design. His research interests include control systems, energy regeneration, biomedical engineering, optimization algorithms, and robotics.
Arash Roshanineshat
Arash is pursuing his master’s degree in electrical engineering at Cleveland State University. He received his bachlor’s degree from Zanjan University, in Iran. He joined CEDRA Group at Sharif University of Technology. There he worked on Aldebara NAO Robot and Hanson ALICE. He implemented the Microsoft Kinect and Haptics with the ALICE and NAO Robots in order to help children with Autism. He is currently working with the NAO on the NAO project to implement artificial intelligence and vision control.He is interested in computer hardware, computer software, optimization and robotics. He also plays the guitar very well!

Holly E Warner
Holly is a graduate student pursuing her doctoral degree in mechanical engineering at Cleveland State University. She recieved her master’s in mechanical engineering from Cleveland State University. She also completed her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at Cleveland State University. Her research interests include system dynamics and modeling, robotics, and control with a focus on biomedical applications. She is currently working on the development of an alternative actuator system for a transfemoral prosthesis design.

Sabrina Abram
Sabrina received her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at Cleveland State University in May 2015. She previously worked as an intern with Plexar Imaging, where she specialized in image quality analysis and radiation dose optimization of commercialized medical products. Her research included the development of a control law for the NAO humanoid robot to successfully reject treadmill perturbations and compare motion capture to that of an able-bodied human.

Vahid was a doctoral student in CSU’s Prosthetic Leg Design and Control Group. His research interests include adaptive, robust and impedance controls, robotics, state estimation, nonlinear control systems, and prosthetic limb design and control.
Jose Luiz Ferraz Barbosa
Jose received his master’s degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Federal University of Goias, in Brazil, in 2013. He received his BS degree in Mechatronic Engineering from University of Brasilia, in Brazil, in 2005. He is currently a student in the electronic systems and automation PhD program from University of Brasilia. He completed a research stage at Cleveland State University. He was a mechatronic engineer at Halexistar Pharmaceutical Inc. for 4 years and an assistant professor at Paulista University (UNIP) for 5 years. He is currently an effective professor at Federal Institute of Goias, in Goiania, Brazil. His work experience includes process control and automation, robot programming, and PLC & supervisory systems. His research interests include computer intelligence (e.g. neural networks, fuzzy, evolutionary algorithms, and swarm intelligence), control and automation.
